These laser pointers produce an intense beam that is highly visible under most conditions. In darkness and even low-light, the entire beam is visible as it cuts through the air, making it an excellent long-range pointing device (as an astronomical aid to point out stars and planets, for example). Intensity is about 35 times brighter than a red 670 nm basic laser pen. Visible effects are greatly enhanced over water, in the fog, rain or snow and humidty. If one was to look in the direction of the laser, it would appear as the brightest source of light on the horizon from a distance of many miles.
These are Class 3A ready to use devices and a collimator (not included, CLICK HERE to Download more information on Extender Lenses) can extend the range up to x7, or >10 miles!

These lasers have a key switch, emission indicator, aperture cap and remote control port. They are intended for battery powered field applications. The lasers are excellent for star pointing, emergency signaling, visible target designation, spooking birds and animals, experimenting with fluorescense, or just a high tech optical scientific device. Systems are battery powered and in full compliance with the BRH for a Class 3B certification, operating for hours on two "C" cell batteries (PGLIII series), one "18650" Li-Ion battery (PGLIIIC series), or two "AA" batteries (PGLIIIA series).
These powerful green lasers emit a visible green ray of light, so that you are able to see the entire ray of light, not just the impact point (more pronounced with greater darkness and higher power, of course). Excellent astronomical aid where the laser light appears to reach up and actually touch the target star providing a positive identification. The power of a 100+ milliwatt system is easily demonstrated by pointing the laser at a flat black surface and noting the impact point burning and smoking (greatly enhanced by the use of a focusing lens!). It is possible to break balloons and kill insects under controlled conditions. Obviously these lasers are very hazardous and require protective eyewear and extreme caution when used for laboratory experimentation. These lasers must also be used with caution around people and animals to completely avoid eye and skin exposure. Range is optically unlimited.
